Yes, paid internship dreams do come true! You could spend your summer working in the Crushable office in New York City. If you’re obsessed with pop culture, addicted to television and devoted to celebrity stalking, then this is the internship for YOU!
Interns will be expected to write pieces (under their own byline), research, build galleries, possibly attend events, go crazy on tumblr and provide general assistance to editors. Prospective candidates must possess strong writing skills. Experience with WordPress is a plus. The ideal candidate is web-savvy, witty, organized and the go-to-entertainment-know-it-all among their friends.
College-aged or grad students in the Manhattan area are encouraged to apply, especially those with backgrounds in journalism.
We’re looking for smart candidates to begin in late May/Early June. So get those resumes, cover letters, and two writing samples to Jenni(.)Maier(@)Alloydigital.com by MARCH 1st. Please use the subject line CRUSHABLE SUMMER 2013 INTERNSHIP.
Oh alsooooo, your cover letter is a bonus 3rd writing sample, so don’t tell me anything boring about how your on-campus job taught you about leadership. Show me why we should hire YOU to be a Crushable intern.
Please make sure that your writing samples are written in the Crushable voice and resemble something you’d see on our homepage. While you probably write fabulous research papers, they don’t help us to see how wonderfully funny your writing can be. Also, don’t be shy about including any social media links!
Want to write for Crushable, but don’t have time to commit to an internship? We’re always on the hunt for talented writers who want to share their celebrity addiction with others! Submit the same writing samples to Jenni for your chance to be considered.
Want to work for several sites this summer and not just Crushable? (Sad face, but I understand). Alloy Digital is looking for a social media intern to help out with Crushable, The Gloss, Blisstree and Mommyish. Email Vanessa(.)Vieira(at)alloydigital.com for more information!
Here’s Crushable’s Editor-In-Chief blogging away.
This dog is such a blogger.
I just can’t.
Why would they make the Blog Writer Dress in a light color? You totally spill stuff on yourself when you’re eating lunch in bed.
This is silly. EVERYONE KNOWS BLOGGERS WORK IN THEIR BATHROBES.
I don’t see the cat hair or sweatpants.
Considering $131.99 is practically a blogger’s yearly salary, Julia Allison might be the only one flush enough to afford this dress.
